Everymans Talmud - Abraham Cohen

The talmudic writing where the collected wisdom of the Rabbis over many generations as they sought to interpret the Word of God for their context. This book is a handy tool where the distilled wisdom of the Talmud is put into an accessible form by Cohen. It's not the kind of book you pick up and read from cover to cover, but is a helpful reference work to better understand the culture of Jesus time. 

Worth having if you like to get some information of the Jewish context in which Jesus lives. If you like trashy novels - this is NOT the book for you.  If you are really interested in understanding the Bible and the context of the Bible this is a great little number. Available at Loot.co.za for R190
