This is another of Yanceys outstanding works.
In an accesible and well researches way, Yancey rediscovers the first century Jesus, his profound teaching, his anti-establishment message and his promise of a kingdom not of this world. This is a journey back in time to help us see Jesus in relation to the culture of his day. We have at points become so comfortable with what we have read about Jesus, that we forget just what a radical he was - this book will help you to understand more of our Lord that you have before.
This is a good read that will challenge you to rediscover the real Jesus who is able to change lives in powerful ways. Yancey hits the nail on the head with this one and I would highly recommend it.
